Portland Pie Co.

At Portland Pie Company, our purpose is clear. To provide people with meals made from the best ingredients we can find, sourcing them locally whenever possible. We exist to feed people. Whether it be our paying customers or those in need that we help to feed through donations, fundraisers and other community events. We provide food. A coming together of people taking time to stop and refuel their appetites and their souls.

Simply put, good food brings people together. We are proud of this purpose. It guides us. Strengthen us. And helps us do our part to build sustainable communities. It’s what we do. We are proud to partner with three of the leading organizations working to achieve our goal.

Full plate full potential

Maine’s success is forever tied to the potential of its children, yet one in five of our youngest citizens struggles with severe food insecurity and lacks access to the reliable, nutritious meals they need to thrive.

We’ve partnered with Full Plates Full Potential to help remove the barriers that keep Maine children from accessing the proven, effective and efficient nutrition programs for which they are eligible. These include school breakfast and lunch, summer meals, after-school snacks and meals served in daycare settings. Through Full Plates Full Potential’s innovative approach, each dollar connects a child with ten meals. Lean more.

cultivating community

Cultivating Community grows sustainable communities by expanding access to healthy, local food; empowering children, youth, and adults to play diverse roles in restoring the local, sustainable food systems; and modeling, teaching, and advocating for ecological food production.

All of Cultivating Community’s programs are rooted in the idea that everyone has the right to good food. They empower New Americans by teaching them sustainable farming practices and connecting them to the community through their food hub. Learn more.
